South Carolina’s After Alice is the uncompromising vision of Steven Fennell and Jason Crowden, two seasoned musicians with a wealth of talent and experience between them. Formed in the final stages of 2016, After Alice became the main focus for both musicians. The duo have taken their time to refine their sound and they’re ready to unleash their multi genre sound to the world.

Multi Top 10 Single 'Alive' chosen as one of the Top Songs by Reverb Nation's Senior Curation A & R Team arrives with a triumphant return to old school guitar-driven rock. It’s a track that hits hard at first, cascading waves of guitar over steady line of drums beats to create a hard rock edge that’s softened by subtle pop-energy. It’s a brilliant and intriguing sound, with the tone of the song and guitar work bringing an undeniable, classic rock sound, while impressive vocals and the immutable rhythm of the song help to soften the aggression and make it wonderfully melodic. It’s the best of both words, enough power to be fiercely anthemic and enough rhythm to be entirely enrapturing. Heavy enough to cut your teeth on, and with enough licks to make you cry out for more, ‘Alive’ is essentially, the perfect introduction to After Alice’s sound.

What others say:

After Alice became the main focus for both musicians after a number of other projects had fallen through, and after years of refining their sound, they’re ready to unleash ‘Alive’, the title track and first single to be taken from their upcoming EP. Starting with a sense of urgency and immediacy, ‘Alive’ arrives with a triumphant return to old school guitar-driven rock. ‘Alive’ is essentially, the perfect introduction to After Alice’s sound, and if the rest of the EP is just as intense, then we’re all in for a real treat.”

“The band has released their brand new single ‘Alive’ which is taken from their upcoming EP of the same name. Power pop is naturally this band’s specialty, immediately evident by the crunch chords set amidst the rolling basslines and perfumed choruses. The layered backing vocals on the bridge offers the track a sense of pure style. One thing that has been a cornerstone of After Alice throughout their run has been the ability to uplift through song, and they continue to do so with this single. Determination also plays a part in the band’s makeup and they stay committed to getting things right no matter what it takes. ‘Alive’ is representative of the band’s continued hunger to raise the bar, and it’s been a steady climb with each release expanding their horizons. This latest effort continues that trend, delivering a solid top-to-bottom listen that should make them prominent on the indie airwaves with the ability to go deep with potential radio singles.”

“After Alice had the honor to work with legendary producer Stuart Epps to create this chart topping single '99 Gold'. As most of you know, Epps has worked with legends such as Zeppelins – Page, the Stones – Bill Wyman, The Beatles and more. With a riff laden back bone, and harmonized vocals, you can really hear the Soundgarden influences shine through on ’99 Gold’. It’s hard to label After Alice under any one genre, but it definitely has influence that ranges from 70′s classic rock to 90′s alternative. Ultimately, creating a whole new sound unique in their own right.”
